WHAT RICK’S DONE

When someone says what they are going to do, ask them what they’ve done!

When it comes to leadership, actions speak louder than promises. Rick McCartney’s record is not defined by rhetoric, but by years of meaningful, hands-on work strengthening our community, working with Government, supporting local businesses, uplifting families and young people, and investing in the future of Arizona. From board leadership to economic development to championing education, philanthropy, and workforce growth, Rick has consistently shown up, rolled up his sleeves, and delivered real results. The following accomplishments reflect a lifetime of doing the work — not just talking about it.

Jobs

As Chair and longtime member of the Maricopa County Workforce Council, and as a member of the Workforce Arizona Council, Rick McCartney has played a direct role in creating job opportunities and building real pathways to higher-paying careers. Rick has expanded programs that upskill workers, strengthen local industries, empower unions, and ensure that apprenticeship opportunities are available for early-career workers, veterans transitioning into civilian life, and individuals who are out of work and need a fresh start. He has also championed reentry programs that give formerly incarcerated individuals a real second chance by connecting them to training, support, and pathways to stable, good-paying jobs. His leadership has helped thousands of people gain the training, support, and economic mobility they need to succeed — proving once again that Rick delivers real results for the people of this district.
